When to Apply
Apply at least 3 days before your departure. While most e-Visas are approved within hours, processing can occasionally take up to 72 hours during busy periods. Never apply the day before your flight.
There’s no rush fee or express option — Turkey’s e-Visa system doesn’t offer tiered processing. All applications go through the same queue.
How Will You Receive Your Turkey e-Visa?
Your approved e-Visa arrives by email from noreply@evisa.gov.tr as a PDF. Print this PDF and carry it when you travel to Turkey. Turkish immigration at Istanbul Atatürk (now Sabiha Gökçen) or Istanbul Airport (IST) will scan your passport and verify the e-Visa electronically — but having the printout as backup is essential.
What If Your Turkey e-Visa Is Delayed?
- Check your spam/junk folder for the approval email
- Log in to evisa.gov.tr with your application reference to check status
- If it’s been more than 72 hours, contact the Turkish e-Visa support via the contact form on evisa.gov.tr
- Do not reapply immediately — you could be charged twice
Turkey e-Visa Validity Period
Once issued, your Turkey e-Visa is valid for 180 days from the issue date. You must enter Turkey within this window. Each stay can be up to 30 days. For multiple-entry visas, each stay is also up to 30 days within the 180-day validity.
